Description of Pittsfield Village

Pittsfield Village is a popular collection of condos located on the southeast side of Ann Arbor. They were designed by architect Charles Noble and constructed in the mid 1940’s as housing for returning GI’s and their families. Units feature vaulted living rooms, hardwood floors, 1-2 bedrooms, a full bath, partial lower levels with laundry and an egress window, and rear decks. In the late 1980’s it became a cooperative association named The Village, and then in 2009 it converted to condominiums and added a community swimming pool, tennis and volleyball courts, playgrounds, picnic areas, and acres of grassy common area. Many of these condos have undergone recent renovations and values have sharply risen over the past decade, but still remain affordable by Ann Arbor standards.

Homeowners love the close proximity to the shopping, groceries, and restaurants on Washtenaw Avenue and Packard, including Arborland Mall, Whole Foods Market complex, Arbor Hills shopping center, TJ Maxx and Home Goods. US-23 is right there and gives easy access to I-94 and M-14. It is also conveniently situated between the University Michigan and Eastern Michigan Universities, as well as the VA, University of Michigan and St. Joseph Mercy hospitals.
