Description of Ann Arbor Woods

Ann Arbor Woods is a cozy, well established neighborhood with towering mature trees along winding streets. Located on the city's east side between Packard and Washtenaw Avenue, this Ann Arbor subdivision is within walking distance of multiple parks and close to shopping, freeways, downtown, and the University of Michigan. Built from the late 1950's - the mid 60's, home styles are mainly sturdy brick ranches and tri-levels, with a few colonials throughout. Allen Elementary is within the neighborhood, so children can walk to school without crossing busy roads.

At one end of Ann Arbor Woods is County Farm Park, which sits on 141 acres and features woods, hiking trails, a playground, the Parcour exercise trail, Project Grow gardens, and the Meri Lou Murray Rec Center. At the other end is Buhr Park which has a large, public swimming pool, wading pool, picnic areas, playground, softball fields, tennis, soccer, and ice skating in the winter.
